About Suzanne
Hello, I am Suzanne Yvette Obando, and I am currently your Student Advocate.
I am a trained death midwife, activist and someone aspiring to become a funeral director. I am now doing work with equity, intersectionality, and death. I find it essential to research the histories and stories of marginalized voices within death studies and funerary rites. I am deeply motivated in representing the voices of the oppressed and marginalized in life and in death. I hope my major in multimedia and ethnic studies aids my work in social justice and death studies. I like to say my career paths are art, death, and social justice.
